Edgemont Moguls Basketball Season Begins

On December 12, starting at 2 p.m., the Moguls and Lady Moguls faced the New Underwood Tigers at home.
In two quarters of girls, JV play, the Lady Moguls were defeated. In four quarters of JV boys play, the Moguls were defeated.
In varsity girls, New Underwood beat the Lady Moguls. Scores for each quarter are as follows: first quarter Tigers 20, Moguls 11, second quarter Tigers 34, Moguls 24, third quarter Tigers 48, Moguls 26, fourth quarter Tigers 66, Moguls 31.
Team leaders were Maddie Peterson with 7 rebounds and 3 assists, Courtney Wilcox with 2 blocks, Katie Lane with 3 steals, Avery Van Eaton with 5 deflections and Cay D Sedlacek with 15 points.
In varsity boys play, the Tigers beat the Moguls 51 - 27. Scores for each quarter are as follows: first quarter  Tigers 14, Edgemont 2, second quarter Tigers 30, Edgemont 13, third quarter Tigers 42, Edgemont 27, fourth quarter Tigers 51, Edgemont 27.
Team leaders were Miles Englbert with 7 rebounds, Lathen Stevens and Andrew Bushman with 3 steals each, Rhett Beard with 4 deflections, and Lathen Stevens with 5 assists and 8 points.
On December 13, the Moguls and Lady Moguls faced the Wall Eagles.
JV girls and boys basketball games came out with the Eagles as the victors in both.
In varsity girls play, the Lady Moguls were defeated by the Eagles. Scores for each quarter are as follows: first quarter Eagles 14, Moguls 4, second quarter Eagles 20, Moguls 11, third quarter Eagles 40, Moguls 20, fourth quarter Eagles 55, Moguls 22.
Lady Moguls were led by Katie Lane with 8 rebounds, Cay D Sedlacek had 4 steals, 9 deflections and 13 points, Maddie Peterson had 2 assists.
In varsity boys play, the Moguls were defeated by the Eagles. Scores for each quarter are as follows: first quarter Eagles 8, Moguls 6, second quarter Moguls 23, Eagles 18, third quarter Eagles 36, Moguls 31, fourth quarter Eagles 52, Moguls  40.
Team leaders were Lathen Stevens and Miles Englebert with 12 points each, Miles Englebert with 9 rebounds and Lathen Stevens with 2 steals, 3 deflections and 3 assists.
