On Tuesday, September 27, the Lady Moguls traveled to Hot Springs to take on the Bison. The Junior Varsity took the court ready to go. They defeated the Bison in two sets; 25-20 and 25-17. The JV record improved to 3-4-1.
The Varsity had an inconsistent night against the Bison. The Lady Moguls lost in three sets; 22-25, 22-25, and 7-25. The Varsity record fell to 5-7.
On Thursday, September 29, the Lady Moguls traveled to Moorcroft to take on the Wolves. The Junior Varsity opened the night. The Wolves were ready to go and defeated the Moguls in two sets; 16-25 and 14-25. The JV record fell to 3-5-1.
The Varsity took the court ready to play, but the Wolves made them work for it. It was a hard fought game that saw the Wolves come out on top in three sets; 24-26, 17-25, and 17-25. The Varsity record fell to 5-8.
The Lady Moguls opened their October schedule with the Lead Invitational Tournament on Saturday, October 1. To start the day, the Moguls opened their pool play by taking on the New Underwood Tigers. The Lady Moguls were ready to play and defeated the Tigers in 3 sets; 25-20, 16-25, and 25-19. Next, the Lady Moguls took on the Wall Eagles to finish out their pool. The Moguls fell to the Eagles in two sets; 14-25 and 16-25.
The Lady Moguls came out of their pool in second place. This meant that for tournament play, the Lady Moguls came up against the Lead/Deadwood Golddiggers. The Moguls had seen the Diggers two times in the season already and had split the games with them. In this meeting the Diggers came out on top in two sets; 14-25 and 17-25. The Lady Moguls ended their day with a record of 6-10.
The Lady Moguls continue to travel on Thursday, October 6, as they go to Harrison to take on the Sioux County Warriors. The Junior High games starts at 4 p.m. with a JV and Varsity game to follow.
The Lady Moguls travel to Rapid City Christian on October 11 for a 6:00 p.m. game. They will return to the Mogul Dome on Thursday, October 13 for Pink Night against the Red Cloud Crusaders. As you come cheer on the Moguls, help us honor the cancer survivors and wear your pink.
