The all school reunion was held July 30 through August 2 and was hosted by the Edgemont Alumni Association.
The organization was officially organized in 2001. The main focus of the group is to support the youth of Edgemont. The Alumni Association donates to several different projects that involve our local youth programs. County Holds A Special Meeting

HOT SPRINGS - The Fall River County Commission held a special meeting on July 2.
The meeting was needed to approve a temporary malt beverage license for The Hat Creek Grill in Edgemont, for the Redneck Rally, which took place July 3-5.
Also on the agenda were five hire requests for the Sheriff’s department, the Dispatch office and the jail.
Receiving the majority of the discussion was the hiring of Justin Hayne as a deputy sheriff. Hayne, who is currently a Hot Springs city police...

City Council Holds Regular Meeting

A regular meeting of the Edgemont Common Council was held on June 16 at 7 p.m.
Councilman George West was absent, while Councilwoman Brenda Cullen, had to be patched into the meeting via phone. This allowed the council to have a quorum.
After general meeting openers and reports, the council went into executive session. Council returned to their regular meeting at 9:40 p.m.
Echo Brosmire was appointed and took oath after the meeting reconvened. Brosmire will complete the one year...

Edgemont Softball League

We are still trying to organize a league for adult softball.
This league would allow anyone over 14 to play the game, but it can be a family affair.
If some child wants to keep score, umpire, or be ‘bat boy’, they are more than welcome to attend as well.
Right now we are in the organizational stages. Some thoughts are: we will have practices and games around the YMCA practices, everybody that wants to have fun, may, but you have to bring your own equipment, and who we may challenge...

City Candidate Forum

On Friday, March 27, there will be a candidates forum held for City candidates from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

This event will be held at the Senior Center/Cheyenne River Social Club. The event is sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce.
