Dallas Lee Terry, 75, died Thursday, March 5, 2015 at home in Boise after many years struggling with heart disease. Dallas was born in Edgemont, SD on September 6, 1939 to Violet and Lowell Terry. He attended schools in Edgemont, SD, and Wyoming. He joined the Marines in 1958 and served with an honorable discharge in 1962.
He worked in Edgemont, SD at a grocery store, car dealership, and theater. He then went to work for civil service which took him to Umatilla, OR, Hawthorne, NV, and Ft. Huachuca, AZ. He met Darla Marie Widmar and they married on March 27, 1965 in Newcastle, WY. They followed his civil service government work and lived in Nevada, Arizona, Oregon, and then Idaho. He loved hunting and was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, Darla M. Terry; two brothers; and a sister and son Darin Terry and five grandchildren (Tammy, Nathan, Chris, Shawn, and Samantha in FL). He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a sister, and a son.
He was a good husband, good father, and good provider. We danced, we gardened, we RV’d, we laughed, we cried.
