On Tuesday, October 13, the Lady Moguls hosted the Rapid City Christian Comets for Pink Night/Parent’s Night. Thank you for filling the Mogul Dome with pink. The Lady Moguls were honored to support cancer survivors and those battling cancer by gifting them with a pink carnation. Thank you Floral Depot for donating the flowers.

The Junior Varsity took the court against the Comets and fought two close sets. The Comets came out on top: 22-25 and 18-25. The JV record fell to 5-6.
The Varsity match began with the Comets coming out strong, but the Lady Moguls wouldn’t go down without a fight. They showed great perseverance in the match. The Comets were victorious in three sets: 14-25, 21-25, and 19-25. The Varsity record fell to 2-16.
On Thursday, October 15, the Lady Moguls traveled to Red Cloud to take on the Crusaders. The Junior Varsity match was back and forth forcing a third set. The Moguls fell in three to the Crusaders: 22-25, 25-22, and, 7-15. The JV record fell to 5-7.
The Varsity match had some close sets. The Crusaders came out on top in three sets: 23-25, 10-25, and 22-25. The Varsity record is 2-17.
Edgemont hosted the Panhandle Conference Volleyball tournament on Saturday, October 17. The Lady Moguls were seeded sixth in the Conference and played the third seeded Morrill Lions for their first match. The Lady Moguls came ready to play and started the day out strong. The Lady Moguls defeated the Lions in two sets: 25-22 and 25-23.
The next opponent for the Lady Moguls were the second seeded Crawford Rams. The Rams proved to be too much for the Moguls and defeated the Moguls in two sets: 15-25 and 14-25.
This sent the Lady Moguls to the Consolation Match against the Hay Springs Hawks. The Lady Moguls were ready for a rematch against the Hawks who beat them in 5 sets in September. The Lady Moguls came out on top in two sets: 25-22 and 25-23.
The Lady Moguls took third place at the Panhandle Conference Tournament and ended the day with a record of 4-18.
The Lady Moguls will finish out their regular season on the road. They traveled to Oelrichs on Monday, October 19. They will travel to New Underwood on Friday, October 23, for a triangular with the Tigers and the Wall Eagles. Then they will finish out their regular season at Pine Ridge on Monday, October 26 at 6 p.m. against the Thorpes.
