Edgemont boys finish in fifth

RAPID CITY – After losing a close first-round game to Wall by a score of 52-60 on the Eagles’ home court last Thursday night as part of the 37th annual West River Tournament (WRT), the Edgemont Moguls boys’ basketball team played their next two games on the consolation side of the bracket, which they won to place fifth overall. Their wins over Moorcroft (66-51) and Newell (48-47) improved their overall season record to 6-5.

RAPID CITY – The Hot Springs Bison boys’ basketball team was dominant in their first two games last week in the West River Tournament to qualify for their third straight championship finals game in the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center on Saturday night, where they faced Wyoming’s fourth-ranked Upton Bobcats.

Lady Moguls finish as runners-up in West River Tournament

RAPID CITY – With wins over Hot Springs and Moorcroft in their first two games of the West River Tournament last week, the Edgemont Lady Moguls basketball team qualified for the Championship Game for only the second time in school history. Lady Bison finish in sixth place of WRT

WALL – The Hot Springs Lady Bison basketball team placed sixth overall in last week’s West River Tournament after earning a 1-2 record which included their second win of the season over nearby Oelrichs when they defeated them 50-38 last Thursday night in Wall.

PHILIP –The Custer-Edgemont wrestling team finished as the runner-up in this past weekend’s Philip Invitational with 188 points, second only to host Philip Area with 228.5 points.
