HOT SPRINGS – The Hot Springs Bison baseball team had by far and away its best game of the season last Tuesday, May 8, at home versus Todd County.

Competing in two meets in a week is nothing new for the Hot Springs track team and it is not unusual to compete in completely different weather situations as well.

Moguls utilize Middle School talent to bolster team heading into Regions

RAPID CITY – With a number of middle school athletes moving up to test themselves against older competition, the Edgemont Moguls track and field team came away from last week's 20-plus team Rapid City Qualifier posed for a strong showing at this week's region meet.

Oelrichs boys compete in Rapid City; Oelrichs presents Sports Awards

RAPID CITY – The Oelrichs track & field team sent three boys to last week's Rapid City Qualifier, including Carl Cortier, Denato Two Bulls and Jeeter Shockey.

For their highest placing events, Two Bulls and Cortier finished 41st and 42nd respectively in the discus with near identical tosses of 78-08 and 78-07 respectively.

Shockey meanwhile placed 12th overall in the long jump with a new PR (personal best) leap of 18-01.75, which was his highest placing event.

Bison baseball team drops games to Platte, Chamberlain, Gregory

HOT SPRINGS – After a week of no games to finish off the month of April, the Hot Springs Bison baseball team played three varsity games and a JV game this past week, to start off the month of May.

On the road last Friday in Platte, the Bison 'Boys of Spring' lost both ends of a double-header, first by a score of 0-16 to host Platte/Geddes and then by a score of 1-11 to Chamberlain.
