Eleanor B. Burnison Highley, age 94, of Edgemont, SD, passed away on February 2, 2016, at the Rapid City Hospice House in Rapid City.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Committal services were held February 6, 2016, at the Bear Butte Cemetery in Sturgis, SD.

David Paul Russell, age 74, of Edgemont, SD, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 4, 2016, at the Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
David was born October 17, 1941, in Hot Springs, SD, to Paul and Elisabeth Russell. After graduating from Edgemont High School in Edgemont, David went on to study law and graduated from the University of South Dakota School of Law. He then returned home and joined the family business of operating a law firm in his hometown of Edgemont where he made lifelong relationships with many people in his community. He also served in the US Army.
David was a proud father to three sons, and spoke often of his fondest memories, including watching his children and grandchildren competing in sports and going camping with his sons and their families. He enjoyed an active lifestyle of golf, tennis, camping, swimming, traveling and spending time with his family. He always had a favorite dog by his side, and enjoyed a good game of bridge.
David is survived by his three siblings: Richard of Rapid City; Anne (Donald Harding) of Colorado Springs, CO; Charlie (Julie) of Las Cruces, NM; his three sons, Lance (Starla) of Hot Springs; Larry of Los Gatos, CA; Ladd (Suzanne) of Hanover, MN; 10 grandchildren: Regan, Whitney, Grant, Madison, Julia, Warren, Kadan, Landon, Evan and Madelyn; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial services were held Monday, February 8, 2016, at the United Church in Edgemont. The family then greeted friends for lunch. Processional followed to the Edgemont Cemetery. Military Honors were provided by the United States Army and the Hot Springs Veterans Honor Guards.
